Dream Box

"DreamBox Learning K-3 Math provides a phenomenal level of individualized math instruction. Dynamic adaptations, based not just on answers but on strategies..."  this quote, to me, sums up the new direction that math instruction and learning is headed in and this website is a phenomenal resource for educators to use to take math teaching to the next level in our classroom!

On this website you will find a variety of teacher resources such as virtual manipulatives to use in your classroom, professional development articles concerning math instruction, ideas for home-to-school connections for math content and many, many more links to useful information and ideas are located on this page.  The best part is that this site is aligned with the state Core Content Standards so all of the lesson ideas and games for students are based off of the educational standards used in your classrooms already!

As an educator I would use this site as a point of growth for myself and as a source of insight on successful interventions and effective teaching strategies that other educators have tried.  There are several new professional development ideas discussed on this site that could certainly benefit all math educators simply as a source of new information.  The educator testimonials also provide educators with the opportunity to see what other educators are doing in their classrooms and what ideas prove to be successful and others that do not.

I also love the home-school connection link as it has several great ideas for educators to use to help incorporate students parents.  As a teacher you could easily use any of these ideas to begin connecting your students' parents and involving them in their child's learning which is an integral part of student success!  This is an excellent resource and one all teachers should take advantage of!
